Automatic Mechanical Watch

Mechanical watches can generally be divided into the following two types: hand chain watches and automatic watches. The power source of a mechanical watch is the spring in the movement, which drives the gears and then the watch needle.

For manual mechanical watches, chain the movement on the hand. By rotating the crown of the watch, the main spring in the movement of the watch is fully wound. After the spring is completely released, the gear is driven to run and the pointer is driven to travel. For an automatic mechanical watch, the power of the automatic winding movement is driven by the weight of the pendulum in the movement. When the arm with the watch swings, it will drive the pendulum to rotate. At the same time, it will drive the main spring in the watch to chain the watch and push the timing.

Characteristics of mechanical watch

1. A mechanical watch is different from a quartz watch in that its second hand moves continuously.

2. Due to the complexity of the movement of the mechanical watch, the travel time error is large (depending on the brand). The general allowable range is ± 45 seconds. The movement error of the observatory is small

The error is normal within - 4~+6 seconds. The travel time error of the mechanical watch cannot be accumulated, and the watch needs to be adjusted after a period of time.

3. The process is fine and easy to use. The upper foot winding can last more than 35 hours.

4. The movement has a long service life.

5. The appearance is thicker than that of quartz watches (depending on the brands). Some brands are also very thin, but they are generally manual mechanical watches.
